In prior emails we've talked about so many aspects of ASN and why I firmly believe that ASN can help you can succeed and achieve great things. 
 

This message IS NOT about ASN.  I' m going to talk only about YOU.

About how you can be more successful at anything you do. You see, I understand that no matter how great I feel ASN is (and I do)... I understand that, just as there is no such thing as a one size Jacket that fits all people... I also know that there is no such thing as a one size business that fits and works for all people.

MY GOAL IS YOUR SUCCESS.
But my objective is not and has never been simply to get you to work with us. It has been to give you an opportunity. Whether you and ASN are a good fit is totally up to you. But whether it's with ASN or something else, I hope that I can play some small part in helping to achieve your objectives. It is with this in mind that I am including these next articles. They are not about ASN, but rather about general, universal principles that if followed will absolutely allow anyone to excel in anything.  Please see this page.  It contains not only universal principles of success, but my own personal story of failure, success and everything in between.

Hopefully, these ideas will help you on your journey to financial and personal success.

YOU CAN DO IT- whatever it is... YOU . . .  CAN. . .  DO. . .  IT!
The first thing that most people need to understand is that success is not an accident. So many people look around at their doctor, their realtor, their lawyer, the Restaurant Owner and think "lookat the lucky SOB, he's got everything". or "He must have been in the right place or the right time", etc...Guess What? They weren't just lucky. THEY WERE PREPARED! Luck is when preparedness meets opportunity!  Opportunity does no one any good if, when it comes knocking, the TV's on so loud that they don't hear it! Your ship coming in doesn't do much good if you' re still in bed.  We have to be prepared and we have to be ready to act!

Your degree of success will be the result of not only preparedness and ideas-- but of ACTION!

NEVER FORGET! With few exceptions, WE ALL START AT THE SAME STARTING LINE!
    * Your boss unless, he inherited it, probably, wasn't born owning the company that you now work for.
    * Your Real Estate broker wasn't born with his license or successful brokerage.,

    * Your physician wasn't born with his MD
    * Your attorney wasn't born with his Juris Doctorate in his hand... I certainly wan't.

In each and every case they had attitudes, beliefs and a work ethic that led and enabled each of them to make the choices and decisions that brought them to the esteemed place they now hold. Oh, and of course, action may have played a part?

I don't care what you might think. . .

Intelligence is overrated. It's all about having a goals and having the willingness to consistently act to achieve them. Think about it... have you ever had a boss?... a boss that you knew you were head and shoulders more intelligent than they were?  My guess is yes... that might even be the case, right now. But he's still you boss!  Why?  In almost every case, the difference in life's stations, is the sum of our choices and actions.  Whatever that job is... he took actions that led him/her to it.

Think about it. With Very Few Exceptions- Unless we come from money, inherit money, marry money or win the lottery, most of us began in substantially the same financial starting line. For the most part,our varying future accomplishments result from the ACTIONS and CHOICES we make... and those are substantially determined by the Attitudes and Beliefs that we hold.
 

BUT I GREW UP SO POOR!
Of course, some people are born into abject poverty, welfare, drug ravaged families and never get to learn the importance of personal choice and personal responsibility... BUT ULTIMATELY, EVEN THEN, THEIR FUTURE IS IN THEIR CONTROL.  Here's why.

It's true, most of us, even though not wealthy, come from families with certain positive beliefs and a work ethic that was handed down to the children.  There is no question this gives them an environmental step up on the children that grew in incredibly trying circumstances. But even this, simply reinforces the statement that (for better or worse), it is attitudes and beliefs that finally determine the actions that ultimately determines our destinies.  It's not easy, but we can change the attitudes and beliefs as to what we can accomplish.

FIRST GET RID OF EXCUSES
There is no question that those born into poverty, welfare, drug abuse, etc, learn very different attitudes and beliefs than those born into the more successful families. These individuals may have the same intellect, actually the very same genetic "potential"... often even more of each, but the internalized, long held beliefs of the failure that they've internalized and experienced their entire lives often undermine their beliefs as to what they can accomplish. 

They may have graduated or attended the same high school, had the same available choices and similar options, i.e. to continue their education, get a job, try to start a small business, etc... But so often, their INSTILLED BELIEFS in what life can have in store for them creates a chronic attitude of failure.  It drastically affects the decisions and choices they make...  If you were certain something was impossible.. would you try?  They CHOOSE FAILURE, THROUGH INACTION! 

MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT... FAILING TO ACT IS A CHOICE.

In short, it becomes easy to take ZERO responsibility for anything in their lives.  They blame everything on their upbringing and refuse to acknowledge or even consider the FACT that they can immediately change the trajectory of their future.  All it requires is the decision to make different choices .

AN INESCAPABLE FACT:
We are all the sum total of the decisions, choices and actions that we have made to this point in our lives. Our future will depend on the decisions, choices and actions that we make, from this point in our lives. If anyone wants a better future, it all starts with GETTING RID OF EXCUSES and MAKING BETTER CHOICES!

WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE- What Do You Want?
Attitudes and Beliefs ALWAYS manifest themselves in actions and choices.  It is our choices and decisions that have taken us to where we are. If you are not satisfied with every aspect of your life, it is unquestionably because your attitudes and beliefs led you to make the choices and decisions that brought you here. If you, in anyway are less than satisfied with any aspect of your life, you can change it... and you can start right now! Not enough money? Imperfect relationship. Want better and more "stuff"? It doesn't matter. It's all in your hands and it's all a matter of choice. YOUR CHOICE!

SOME IMPORTANT TRUTHS
Realize no matter where you came from, no matter where you are, right now, today you can start making choices and decisions that can dramatically improve your life and your future. But it requires not just reading and "knowing" these truths, it requires internalizing them so that they are a part of you to the degree that you naturally react in a way that
